we like-sa the pasgetti-a

I've spent the last 3 hours in the kitchen baking up a storm.  Unfortunately, you don't get to see (or even get a hint!) until later, because it's for a package swap.  I don't want to spoil the surprise for her!  I'll show you pics when she gets the package, k?  K.  Well.  That means that all I get to show you is our dinner from last night.  At Michael's request, I made spaghetti with 'meat'balls and garlic bread.
we also like-sa the bread-a

Just plain ol' fettucine with Lightlife meatballs (that were really good!) and plain storebought pasta sauce.  You heard how tired I was yesterday.  It's a miracle that I could even bust this out.  The bread was the shining star.  Storebought loaf (I know, I know, minimal effort here) sliced up and coated with a mixture of olive oil, garlic powder, thyme, and 'Italian' seasoning.  You've seen that stuff.  It's a cop-out, but sometimes you gotta do it.  This ended up hitting the spot just right, even if it wasn't fancy.

Guhh..I wish I could show you what I made tonight!  I can't even tell you ANY of it!  Soon, though, soon.  Hopefully I can pull out a decent dinner after all this.

Happy Monday, thank goodness it's over, yeah?

After 3 hours of baking I'm impressed you got out any dinner at all! Simple meals can still turn fantastic.

after 3 hours of baking i totally would have said "fuck this" and ordered pizza or something. pasgetti (i'm so glad dan & i aren't the only ones who refer to it as this! yay!) and non-meatsie balls are indeed a fine, fine meal! the bread looks especially scrum. i love eating a big ass plate of pasta and then having bread to soak up all the glorious marinara of yumminess as you go along. mmmmmmmmmm! i love the little piece 'o basil, too - it's so cute! we have yet to try those lightlife meatballs - but they look really awesome! and this is make'n me even hungrier for tomorrow night's dinner. dan and i are having non-meatsie ball subs (using up some old frozen store bought non-meatsie balls we have in the freezer as well as some i'm making up 'cause we don't have too many left) - and oh my gosh - now i really can't wait! non-meatsieball cravings - ahoy! :D wheeeeeeeeeeee! i hope some day to do a care package swap. that day will be coming, hopefully - and i can't wait! i really can't wait to see all the awesomeness you made, too - it's going to be most grand! wahooooooo!

and yes - i am excited that monday is out of the way. i totally thought i was coming down with something yesterday - and i think it was just monday being crappy, not me be'n sick. so hooray for tuesdays! w00t!
